KB 956744 continues to be offered
I am running Windows Server 2003 SP2 x64. I have downloaded and installed KB
956744 and no errors are recorded for the installation. It shows up in the
Control Panel as installed but Microsoft Update continues to offer it to me.

I have tried the "fix it" tool both in standard and agressive modes but the
update continues to be offered.

I have uninstalled the update, rebooted and reinstalled it but i continues
to be offered.
How do I get this update cleared.

Re: KB 956744 continues to be offered
As long as it's listed as installed on your computer AND in Update History
at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com, feel free to hide it.

1. Stop the Automatic Updates service:

Start > Run > (type in) services.msc > [OK]
Double-click Automatic Updates > Click on Stop
(Stopping the service will take a moment)

2. Delete the contents of the Download folder:

Start > Run > (type in) %windir%\SoftwareDistribution > [OK]
Open the Download folder and delete its contents
Close the window.

3. Go to Windows Update website | Select CUSTOM and allow the scan to
complete | Uncheck/deselect KB956744 and hide it ("Don't show me this update
again").

4. Start the Automatic Updates service:

Start > Run > (type in) services.msc > [OK]
Double-click Automatic Updates > Click on Start
(Starting the service will take a moment)
