KB890830 daily notification!

Everyday I am notified that I have 1 update to install. When I click the
Icon, it is repeating the same one everyday for over 6 weeks know. It is the
KB890830 MSRT. What is happening and how can I stop it daily.

Please always state what OS you're & service pack and what
version of Internet Explorer? as it often does make a difference -

Also, could you supply some information on what your firewall is, anti-virus,
other R-TP programs, e.g. Spybot Search & Destroy (reduced functionality
called "TeaTimer") Avira (From version 9) (Included in antivirus package),
Ad-Aware, etc?

I'd recommend re-downloading Microsoft® Windows®
Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830), and saving to a known
location--like the desktop

Once the download completes close all open programs and browse�s.

Now run the downloaded file [ if the edition of Windows is Vista, then
*�ight* click it and choose 'Run as administrator'.

Follow the prompts to allow it to run ].

Run a full scan.

Always state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1; Vista
64-bit SP2; Win7; Win7 64-bit) when posting in a forum or newsgroup. Please
do so in your next reply.

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these applications running
in the background when you installed ___?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this
machine (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?
