Re: Repeated downloads of the same updates

Wow - I guess I'mlucky I've only just now been experiencing this issue - I
had no idea it was this old. I called the free microsoft number for security
issues and had a worthless 49 min. call (AFTER the 30in. wait) with a guy who
told me to rename my msxml4.dll file as msxml4.old. Then, I was to reboot
and that would solve my problems- and he hung up. Naturally, it didn't.
When I found the instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927978/, I
did that (like you suggested) - but it isn't version 4.20.9841.0 like I was
informed it should be. I can't seem to find that version. Any ideas?

Please start a new thread. Let us know what operating system you've got, what
service pack is installed, and which update is repeatedly installing.
