Automatic Updates

I am running XP Pro 32 bit. After automatic update does its thing the
computer restarts it starts windows and the background comes up and that is
it. After restarting the computer it goes to the backgroud picture then to
the welcome screen, then to the user account screen. I have only one account
so it shouldn't go to that screen. I click on my account and it logs in then
immediately logs out and goes back to the log in screen
