Should SelfUpdate tree auto-download the latest client?

Hi,

Basically, I'm looking at SelfUpdate tree and checking if it could auto
update all clients to the lates version.
While the tree seems to work, the client it holds is an older version -
7.1.6001.65, so PCs look at this and report they are compliant since they run
either the same version or 7.2.6001.788 (latest available).
I suspect that SelfUpdate tree should auto download the latest version and
deploy it to clients, but this isn't happening - and no errors are reported
anywhere.

Does anyone know if this process should work on its own, or do I need to
populate SelfUpdate tree with a newer client manually to get it distributed
out to PCs when they connect next?

Petar ... suggest you pursue this issue in the WSUS NG as this one,
Windows Update, deals with client updating issues.
