Can't get Windows Update to Work, XP SP3 and IE7
I hit Express Install and get this message:
Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered or
installed on your computer. To continue:

Register or reinstall the files for me now (Recommended)
Let me read about more steps that might be required to solve the
problem

I select the "Register or reinstall the files for me now (Recommended)"
selection, hit continue and seems like it installs and registers the missing
files but does nothing but bring me back to the beginning...to the Express
and Custom selection boxes again. Pressing those just puts me in a loop with
the same results.

I have tried the suggestions that have been posted to this forum of
registering MSXML3.DLL and other DLLs. This didn't help. I also tried forcing
windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe to install. This also didn't help.

I am running XP SP3 and accessing Windows Update with IE7.

Any ideas on what to try next?
