Error 80244019

I have been getting this same error when running windows update and have
treid several suggestions on here and from Microsofts website. Including
trying different settings, closing off firewalls, and even rany both Window
defender, AVG system and the Microsoft quick scan off their website to see if
we have the Trojan virus, all come clean. I had to completely reload my
system last week as we were not able to get our internet explorer up but had
messanger running. I am running Window Vista Premium with system firewall
and Norton 360 no service packs or anything downloaded but the stuff it came
with and AVG. Here is the error message we have been getting, I did run
defender and all is well but I cannot download any update nor any
MSN/Microsoft programs (ie: messanger, windows live, etc.)
Live/messanger download either. Please help!!!

Have you purchased N360 and is your subscription current?

Do you understand that you've got two (2) anti-virus applications installed
and loading at boot?

Do you understand that you may have two (2) firewalls enabled, the Norton
Personal Firewall and the Windows Firewall?

Any of the above might be causing your problems, Amy.

I'd recommend that you cut to the chase and...

IF the conflicting firewalls and AVs are not the cause of the failure to
communicate with the update servers, then there's a DNSHijacker/Changer
Trojan present.
