Error code 80070005 Windows could not search for updates

0Windows would not allow me to search for new updates
The error code is 80070005
I did a search to learn about this problem. However none of the answers
were presented in a way where I could understand them. Laymans terms.
Please help. I am just a regular guy trying to figure this out.

80070005 = One of the most common causes of this erro� code is the
Anti-virus and
Anti-spyware software programs running on the computer.

You can try turning them off and then try the updates again.

Keep the fi�ewall on though.
