windows update error 8007006E

I have windows vista, and am trying to do some windows updates but the error,
8007006e, keeps coming up.
Please help!

8007006E ERROR_OPEN_FAILED
The system cannot open the device or file specified.

* Which * updates are failing to install ?
Has Service Pack 1 been applied ?
** What is the installed antivirus/security suite and is a 3rd party
firewall being used ? **

Insert your Office CD into the appropriate drive bay then try again.
