Windows Vista Update....

My system won't udpate. The error code is 80073712. I've tried to reinstall
the service pack but it won't let me. it hasn't updated for a long time. In
addition, i tried the command prompt Sfc/scannow but it says that a computer
repair is pending and to restart the computer. unfortunately that doesn't
work either. Please help.
