.NET 3.5 SP1 Error 80246002

I often have trouble downloading and / or installing various windows updates
(including Vista SP1).

Currently I am having issues with the .NET 3.5 SP1 update. It appears to
download fine, however produces the error 80246002 when it tries to install.
After 4 attempts, I keep getting the same error.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

0x80246002 WU_E_DM_INCORRECTFILEHASH A download manager operation could not
be completed because the file digest was not �ecognized.


You receive a "0x80246002" error code when you use the Windows Update or
Microsoft Update Web sites to install updates
