First, using Internet Explorer, go here and have the system scanned to
see if any malware is detected:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/howsafe.htm

IF malware is detected, please post back with the specific name[s] of
what was detected.

If malware is not detected, then see this:
http://www.updatexp.com/0x8024d007.html

In addition to the 2 resolutions listed, suggest you also try
reregistering this file by clicking Start > Run and typing in or
copying&pasting the below into the Open: line

regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
Click OK or press Enter
