Failed installation of Office 2007 SP2

Microsoft Office SP2 fails to install on Windows Vista Business with error:
"Installation failure: Windows failed to install the following update with
error 0X80070643: The 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2)."

I made sure that the Office Source Engine service is running.

Any ideas?

After taking a closer look it looks like SP2 is installed but Windows Update
tries to install it again and the installation fails

Insert your Office 2007 CD into the appropriate drive bay prior to
(re)installing Office 2007 SP2 via Windows Update.

Did not work for me. Using Vista Ultimate.

State your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP2) and any errror

You receive error code 0x80070643 or error code 0x643 when you use the
Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web sites to install updates
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958052
Includes Vista, Windows 2000, Windows Server, Windows XP
