Error Code 800736B2

I cannot install the service pack 1. The installation bar gets to 100%, slows
and the dispays "installation failed". Can someone give me some advice?

How do I fix it? I am a novice and would like to fix it myself.

To avoid confusion, please begin a new thread about your specific problems.
State your IE version, full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP2),
and the update that's failing to install (e.g., .NET Framework 3.5 SP1) in
your first post.
