Photoshop CS4 crashes post 4/16 Updates

Running XP... When I open a file in PS CS4 to work, it crashes. This is my
bread and butter - anyone with similar problem?

Backtracked to pre-Win Update, but had McAfee security error on rollback, so
restored to Update.

Tried Adobe PS update - no results.

Have you tried uninstalling the updates in question? (Using the Add/Remove
Programs Control Panel.)

Just tried it & rebooted, still crashing on document open.

I think I just stumbled on a fix by desperate tweaking... I went into prefs
and switched doc windows to floating from tabs, now the prog seams to be
stable.

At this point I'd recommend reinstalling the updates one at a time, and seeing
if the problem reoccurs. I suspect that it was just a coincidence that it
started happening after the latest updates.
