Updates not installing
I have Windows XP, sp3. I tried installing 3 high priority updates:
KB956572, KB959426 and KB890830. I got the following message: The following
updates were not installed. How do I fix this?

Download them individually to your system and try again. You can try Safe
Mode also.

critical update kb951847 failed to install.
no error message
what can I do now?
this is 148 MB -a 12 hour download for me on dialup

Start a free Windows Update support incident request:

security updates. When you call, clearly state that your problem is related

You should always start your own thread.

The download presumably is under softwaredistribution/downloads folder

See if you can install it from there, you can try safemode.

Otherwise look at the windowsupdate.log for further clues as to why the
update may have failed.
