Error upgrading to vista service pack 1

Hi,

i tried to update to service pack 1 for my home vista, so as to get my
laptop webcam working (advice from HP website). But halfway installing the
service pack 1, it said error and reverted back the changes.

Now when i wana search window for update it gave me this error code, 80070490.

then my vista installation show as 'failed', error code as 800700B7.

Please advise me how to go about solving this 2 prob.
