VLK key blocked

i have a offical windows xp professional disk w/ service pack 2 on it i have
installed it once before and worked fine till one day on turned on my pc and
got an error that said disk read error push ctrl+atl+delete to restart did
this 100's of times tried to do a repair w/the disk and no luck now im here
please help i can't get up date because of this.

So a disk read error is related to a VLK?

Ever thought of changing your hard disk first? Sounds like it's going....

And this is related to Windows update in which way?
