DOS run crazy down window

1.Soon I open "run" and before I have the chance to type any comand. exple:
cmd and ENTER, the window open but it run all the way down repiting:
Microsoft Windows XP version 5.1 2.600
<C>Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
It appear about 100 times all the way down before I have the opportunity to
use any comand. But not only this, soon I type "exit" it doesn't work . If a
punt CHKDSK the prosses start, but at the end dissappear without the
opportunity for me to see any resoult.

Please advise which Windows Update did this to your computer?

Consider: Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by third-party
software
