failed update

I tried to install this update:

Initializing installation... done!
Installing Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack
2 (KB954430) (update 1 of 1)...

The instalation always fails.
This is the error code: Error Code: 0x652

What can I do?
(I once remember solving a different issue by entering a list of commands in
"run.")
