Failed to install sql 2005 sp3

I have 2 systems where sp3 fails to install. On the XP system, I find
this in summary.txt:

03/31/2009 20:12:56.801 Registry: Opened registry key
"System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager"
03/31/2009 20:12:56.801 Registry: Cannot read registry key value
"PendingFileRenameOperations", error 0


Looking in the registry (HKLM) I don't find a key named
"PendingFileRenameOperations". However, there is a key named
"FileRenameOperations".

Anyway, what do I do to fix this?
