Install of kb967715

I tried to install the kb967715 update that keeps coming up on the update
screen using the safe mode method described. When that is done I get the
following message-

Version of windows you have installed does not match the update you are
trying to install.

All my update other than subject are current. What does one do now.

Which version of Windows are you running? What is the filename of the update
you downloaded?

File name is Windows xp-kb967715-x86-enu. I am running windows xp media
edition on a Dell E1505. Have been very carefull to keep the windows
updated.

Would appreciate and suggestions to either get the update installed or have
it disappear. Based on my reading of the description it does not seem to be
critical to the way I use the laptop.
