windows update not working

msg "must instal active x control to scan dor aiuto updates on pc
msg enable internet explorer active x control below address on toolbar but
no internet explorer below adressee in toolbar. when i try to go to update
it goes to "page or site not found. any help much appreciated.

I also am having the same issue and am looking for a solution. Hopefully
someone can can provide one here.

Go to the Tools section of your IE Browser and choose manage add-ons and
enable/disable add-ons. On the following screen, scan for MUWebControl
Class. Make sure that it is Enabled. Mine was disabled and I kept getting
the same error messages. After I enabled it - windows worked fine.
