No answer to either question, so I will take your FUD as FUD and take
your non-answer to the first question as WGA does *nothing* to improve
an XP install for people who *know* they are running a legit copy and
only serves to try and recruit paying customers to do Microsoft's and
the police's work for them with no pay. Pretty scurvy if you ask me.
