Re: DirectX Windows Update? or go and download --- version
I thought to look at the installation log. It said [4.09.00.0904.0_WinXP] is
Same version as I already had, but I don't know what the download site meant
by Ver. 9.26.1590.

: How do I identify the current version of DirectX I just downloaded
: The download site at Microsoft.com lists Ver 9.26.1590, dated 03-23-2009.
: Today, I don’t see newer files in the list of System32\DirectX\
: all the files are 2004 files
: This evening, I ran the DX Diagnostic tool and it says the current version
: is DirectX Version is DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) the same version as I
: already had on my computer.
: Anybody see any discrepancies here? Where, on my computer do I find the
: record of the new update?
