My computer has tried to (re)install this update several times this month (in
fact several times today alone) and it always fails (older versions have been
successfully installed in the past).
If I manually run Microsoft Updates, it tells me KB905474 has been
downloaded and is ready to install. However, it fails when I run the
installation.
When trying to run the link from Robin Walker / TaurArian I too recevied the
message:
"Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer
than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update."
Consequently, I constantly get the notification:
"Updates are ready for your computer. Click here to install these updates."
and everytime I turn my computer off KB905474 keeps trying and failing to
install.
Is there a solution?
