Update for Windows XP (KB967715)
I got a notice (the shield) that the subject update was available. I
went to Windows Update. It said that the update involved a 960 KB
download and that it should take 5 minutes through my dial-up
connection. So I started the installation process.

After 12 minutes and more than 2 MB of download, it still did not finish
downloading.

What's going on?

Don't ask "Why is there road rage?" Instead, ask
"Why NOT Road Rage?" or "Why Is There No Such

Re: Update for Windows XP (KB967715)
I don't know where you saw the size but on my PC it certainly isn't 960KB.
KB967715 is around 3MB.

Re: Update for Windows XP (KB967715)
The update itself may be 960 KB but the installer's likely to be much
larger. If you installed it manually, the download is ~3 MB:

PS: You will have to reboot after installing the update.

Re: Update for Windows XP (KB967715)

Any thoughts on why the install is not staying installed, and asks the
user to reinstall each time at restart???

[<pst> techarena.in forum OP who's asked the same Q repeatedly in several
threads and who may not know enough (or be able to see) replies, so don't
hold your breath.]
