Windows Search 4.0 for Windows Vista (KB940157) Error 0x80092004

I am getting error 0x80092004 when trying to install Windows Search
4.0 for
Windows Vista (KB940157) on Windows Vista version 6.0 (Build 6001:
Service
Pack 1). Error occurs from either running it via Windows Update or
through
a stand-alone Windows6.0-KB940157-x86.msu installer.

I tried deleting the contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\, but
it did not help.

Per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798, I tried the following:

- Restarted "Cryptographic Services"
- Re-registered DLL files that are associated with "Cryptographic
Services"
- Removed the hidden attribute from %Windir% and from its subfolders
- Deleted kb*.cat files from {F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}
and {127D0A1D-4EF2-11D1-8608-00C04FC295EE} in %systemroot%
\System32\CatRoot\
- Deleted the contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution directory

But nothing helped.
