XP Repair Installation

I want to do a Repair Installation of XP, but the disk I have is for SP2.
I've long since upgraded to SP3 (not to mention all the MS automatic
upgrades) and now the Installation Process tells me that the installed
version is newer than the CD and the CD can't be used. What do I do? Some
files (games, mostly, are damaged).

Uninstall SP3 and try?

You'd be best served posting an issue like this to an XP newsgroup
rather then the *Windows Update* NG ...
