I am trying to install and it will not allow me. This is the message I keep

is being used by another process" error message when you try to download an
update from Windows Update or from Microsoft Update

Always advise what operating system you're using including which service

another way that I can install the update succesfully?

As I'm unsure what update you're trying to install, suggest you read the
article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883825
and following the instructions.
You'll need to manually download the update in question.

You can also download individual updates from the Catalog and save to be
installed later.

Search for a download
