You are not offered the option to install Windows XP Service Pack 3 when you
use the Windows Update Web site or Automatic Updates: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955307
Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for
Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3) and only until 14 Apr-09. Chat
and e-mail support is available only in the United States and Canada. Go to http://support.microsoft.com/oas/def...spx?gprid=1173 | select "Windows
XP" then select "Windows XP Service Pack 3"

Research I was doing in relation to another problem of yours (cf. http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=37650) leads me to ask if you
might have WinXP SP2 installed on a Mac?
