I am hoping someone can help me out with this problem. I am running Windows
XP SP3 home edition. I have failed to install the most recent security
update for IE7 for windows XP four times this evening with this error. This
happens even when I have turned off all my resident and online antivirus,
anti-spyware programs. Now on a 5th attempt to install (because I wanted to
look up the update number) Microsoft Update won't even start (error number
0x80072EE2). What should I do to get safe?Thanks in advance.

This is the latest: I was able to look up and fix the 0x80072EE2 error by
permitting the sites as trusted sites, but I am still not able to install the
updates. The update number is KB960714.
