Screen Saver

A recent update has stopped my screen saver from appearing. First of all,
when signing on, comes up with a new blue screen with my name for logging
into the computer (as if I'm on a network) and tells me how many programs are
running. I nixed that, but now there is a blank screen instead when the
computer is idle. Screen saver no longer appears, but is set up to. Why?

1. Check your screen saver settings. Have they changed?

2. If your settings are correct, post back with more information, like what
update, what OS you're using, what SP level etc etc etc.
