RE: Installed Todays Update - Audio No Longer Works

After the December 2008 update for Vista, my audio is completely messed up. I
can play sounds for about 20 seconds, and then it cuts out and I have no
sound. I don't even know where to begin to fix this problem, but I'm not a
happy camper! This kind of thing is over my head.

Windows Media Player, iTunes, VLC, no matter what program I use to play
video or audio, after about 20-30 seconds the audio completely disappears.

Any suggestions on how I go about finding a solution that doesn't involve me
never having sound again?

Try updating your audio drivers. Get the drivers at the audio card
manufacturer's web site, NOT Windows Update.
