"WindowsUpdate_80244019" error message

I'm currently running Windows Vista Home Premium. I had completely restored
my computer because of a virus/spyware infection. Before the restore, I had
SP1 installed but it was completely deleted afterwards. Everything seemed
fine but when I tried running windows update, I received "Windows Update
80244019" error. I researched it in the forum and the closest thing I could
come up with is that I still have the infection. If anyone can help me out
with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

How did you "completely restore" your computer? Did you format & reinstall
Vista?

Is the machine-in-question on a network with other computers? Do you
connect via a router? If so and if you're dealing with a DNS.Changer
infection, (1) all networked computers (if any) will have to be disconnected
from the network & router and cleaned-up; then (2) the router may need to be
either Reset or Reinstalled before any of the machine(s) is/are reconnected.
