What updates are failing to install? Are they office updates?
When you say you recently did some housekeeping, did you use a registry
cleaner?
Please provide further information incuding what level your OS is at etc.
All I know is several updats failed to install and you have XP.
You might also want to check the windowsupdate.log for further clues or go
to the Update site and see if there are any error codes there.
