2 Windows Update Failures

Error Code: 0x643 "Windows Search 4.0 for Windows XP (KB940157)"

I am having the same trouble described in this post, but the solution that was found isn't applicable to me (Terminal Services are checked and running). Windows Search 4.0 update is failing with an error code of 0x643 and I can't get it to do anything to install. I disabled my anti-virus and Spybot Resident in case it was blocking registry changes and it still fails.

I'm also getting an optional hardware update that fails. It's for a "Dell Inc. - Other Hardware - Dell E198WFP (Analog)" and it has an error code of 0x80070103.

Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated.
