Recurrent 957097 Update Icon

Running XP Pro:

I just downloaded and installed the latest updates, including 957097,
seemingly without a hitch.

However, upon rebooting, Windows' update icon has reappeared, saying
that it's time to download and install 957097.

Huh?

This happened to me with one of the October updates, even though I rebooted
several times. However, the next day the icon disappeared.

Addendum: I just downloaded and installed the November updates on my laptop.
All was well after rebooting. But on the second or third reboot, the update
icon appeared; it's for the same update Notan reported. I checked Add/Remove
Programs, and this update shows up there. I guess I'll take my own advice
and see what happens tomorrow...
