The list you see on the Windows | MS update sites shows the
chronological order of when the updates were installed. There's no need
to click Date to see this order.
The ReportingEvents.log, located in WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution, lists
all fairly recent [within a 1 1/2 - 2 year period] updates in
chronological order that were successfully installed by Automatic
Updates, WU, or MU.
Click Start > Run > copy and paste the below into the Open: line and
then click OK or press Enter to acces that log:
%windir%\softwaredistribution\reportingevents.log
The log has a size limitation and will not show all updates that were
installed.
