Tony ref service pack (sp1)
Several reasons it can happen including corrupt files in computer system.
Can try downloading manually but need to uninstall antivirus protection
first and proceed in safe mode.

Best bet is to go to Microsoft support & request assistance with sp1
download.
You'll be assigned to a technician who will guide you through various action
plans either by email or phone. The help given is very good.
If all attempted action plans fail a diagnostic test may need to be done by
Microsoft & then it could be that you'd have to run the system recovery
disc.
Sp1 would then be installed manually. Best to do it via Microsoft with a
technician Jan
