Here are 2 very good reasons to install WinXP SP3:
1. The free installation and compatibility support from MS is only available
until April 2009. After that, such support could cost you $500 USD per hour
or more.
2. If you don't have SP3 installed by April 2010, no further critical
security updates will be offered to the machine.
