RE: Installer 3.1

Hello,
Everytime i try to install a program that recquires WINDOWS INSTALLER i
receive the message"Windows Installer did not initialize...installation
cancelled."...Any suggestions on how to re-init WINDOWS INSTALLER or help
with a solution t this problem will be greatly appreciated. SYS INFO: MS
Windows Vista Home Premium w/SP1 running on a TOSHIBA SATELLITE U300A...clean
OS INSTALL on new FUJITSU 250GB SATA 2.5" 7200RPM HDD...RAM=2.5GB DDRII @
667MHz...CPU=INTEL PENTIUM T2080 1.73GHz DUAL CORE. Also, i am unable to
update my JAVA CONSOLE or install SILVERLIGHT. This is the FIRST PROBLEM
i've ever encountered w/ VISTA; five out of 7 of my computers run VISTA and
all run ....perfectly. I AM STUMPED!!! If a clean install is necessary please
advise...i'm doing my best NOT to have to re-install windows and therebye
proving to myself vista's ...instability. Thank you all in advance.

BTW it really is not helpful to have a thread renamed long after
if has been started. Instead of doing that you should start your
own thread with a more descriptive Subject.

E.g. notice that this is the only reference to Vista in the thread
you chose to add to.
