KB946648
computer fails to install above update. Message "denied access" after about
1/2 hour of attempting installation. I have seen many with this problem but
have not really seen the solutions.
being a rookie on this site Maybe I am failing to activate the answers
properly.

Always state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) when
posting to this newsgroup, please.

For enterprise customers, support for security updates is available through
