error 0xD0000005 when running windows update

Currently running XP sp1a and trying to update to SP2. SP2 did not install
and this error was displayed. Error Code 0xD0000005. This has happened
several times. I've run anti-virus software and backed up my data.
Continues to occur. Any help?

When you try to install Windows XP Service Pack 3, you receive the error
message "Access is denied" or "Service Pack installation did not complete":
