Anomalies apparent after installing SP3

I have (finally) been able to install SP3 and found that I now cannot view a
1280x1024 display in 32 bit, only 16!! Also,I seem to have lost the
"Stand-by" option when shutting down. Another thing I have noticed is that
when scrolling down a page on-screen, it "ripples" rather than scrolling
smoothly. Help with all or any of these would be glady appreciated.

Sounds like you need to update your video card driver and chipset driver
from the respective hardware manufacturer's of each item (video card -
likely ATI, NVidia or Intel; chipset would be from whomever made your
motherboard.)
