MDAC Patch installation problem

Hi ,

I am safeer here, I have been trying to install MDAC security update
(KB927779) on my windows 2000 server SP4 system, but its throwing an alert
"Update could not identify the installed product version. The installation
may be damaged". I have checked the MDAC version and found its 2.53.6200.1
and the cross verified the patch, it is for this version only, but still I am
getting the same alert, Anyone come across this problem, please help me to
resolve this my mail ID is safeer_ahammed@hotmail.com

Safeer,

It's best *not* to post your email address in newsgroups as bots will
