RE: virus
Hello Stevem

You may receive an error message on a Windows-based computer: "STOP
0x00000050" or "STOP 0x0000008e"
<http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903251/en-us>

Error message when you start a Windows Vista-based computer: "STOP:
0x00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939720/

I hope this post is helpful.

Let us know how it works ºut.

Good luck

I cant get the machine to stay up, it just reboots.
No safe mode or anything. I think I need some sort of recovery cd to let me
get in?

Thanx

Re: virus
Hi steve, do you have a WinXP CD or did your computer just come with
recovery CDs or a hidden partition?

If this is beyond you (and there is no shame in that) it might be best to
take it to a shop (reputable) to get them to deal with the problem.

endless reboots 0x00000050(0x81000078,0x00000000,0xf87902ff,0x0000 0002
I have EXACTLY the same problem that occurred beginning of Oct. 2008. Anyone out there in the jungle who can guide us?
Windows XP came with the second hand PC - so I do not have any bootdisks. I have the strong impression that the problem occurre when trying to install SP3.
