virus

help..........I have a virus that wont even let me run safe mode. I was able
to get a blue screen.........
beep.sys
stop 0x00000050 (0x81000078,0x00000000,0xf87902ff,0x00000002)

beep.sys - address f87902ff base at f878f000, datestamp, 48d397f5

page fault in nonpage area

I am running xp w/sp3

I do have mcafee

this is my first post... please help

Thanx for the reply.
I cant get the machine to stay up, it just reboots.
No safe mode or anything. I think I need some sort of recovery cd to let me
get in?

Hi steve, do you have a WinXP CD or did your computer just come with
recovery CDs or a hidden partition?

If this is beyond you (and there is no shame in that) it might be best to
take it to a shop (reputable) to get them to deal with the problem.

I have EXACTLY the same problem that occurred beginning of Oct. 2008. Anyone out there in the jungle who can guide us?
Windows XP came with the second hand PC - so I do not have any bootdisks. I have the strong impression that the problem occurre when trying to install SP3.
