i have lost the icon to internet explorer......

i have windows XP but unable to access windows explorer because the blue e
icon has disappeared. can someone tell me how to get it back??????? i have
files in there that i would like to get back into.

The blue desktop icon on your desktop is for Internet Explorer, not Windows
Explorer.
