Failure to Install Optional Updates: KB943729 and Microsoft Tinker

I keep getting Code 800F0900 when trying to install these two updates. I
downloaded KB943729 and tried a manual update and still failed. I am running
Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 and have never had any problems with updates till
now. It did install the Ultimate Extras Sounds from Tinker. Can't find any
help anywhere on these issues. Thank you in advance.

Did you install Vista SP1 manually or via Windows Update?

Since neither of the updates are security updates (and since that error*
doesn't really give us anything to work with), I'd recommend availing
yourself of the free installation and compatibility support for Vista SP1
(available through 18 Mar-09)....
