No. I asked if you needed it. I don't know if *you* need it.
Your video card software may use it... Some application you install may use
it... I don't know. Your system is different from most other systems out
there - if by nothing else than how you use it.
Need is determined by the user/usage in this case.
I wouldn't call it an 'update' - a new version maybe. To me - an update can
replace the functionality of a previous version without losing access to the
functionality of the old. Many 1.1 applications will not run without 1.1
installed (in other words - 3.0 does not REPLACE 1.1.)
So - again - what has prompted you to locate it, attempt to install it, etc?
